The new SavvyLevel® S5 has been rebuilt from the ground up, with new electronics, a new enclosure, new firmware, new apps and a modular architecture designed not simply as another electronic level, but as the core of an expanding SavvyLevel ecosystem.
And despite everything happening inside it, getting started can be remarkably simple.

Simple installation and precision sensing
The S5 is designed to be easy to start using, while its measurement system does the difficult work in the background.
Getting started
Position the cradle on a surface in your caravan or motorhome that you want to be level, connect the S5 to a USB port using the supplied cable, slide it into its cradle and connect with your phone or tablet. That's it.
If you prefer a permanent installation, the S5 can also be connected to your RV's electrical system, providing the additional benefit of remote house-battery voltage monitoring.
USB power makes setup simple; permanent wiring adds battery monitoring.
What makes the S5 different
At its heart is 6-axis inertial sensing with proprietary accelerometer/gyro sensor fusion, high-speed signal processing, advanced sensor-error correction and individual temperature calibration.
Specifications only matter if they produce something useful.
The S5 provides true 0.1° measurement accuracy across its operating temperature range, together with a stable 10× levelling mode, allowing very small changes in vehicle inclination to be clearly seen as you approach level.
The important difference is that the 10× display is backed by the accuracy, resolution and thermal stability needed to make that magnification meaningful. Simply magnifying an angle is of little value if the underlying measurement is not sufficiently accurate and stable.
A precision inclinometer for your 4WD
That same sensor-fusion technology allows the S5 to provide stable roll-and-pitch information while the vehicle is moving, opening up another role for the same instrument. Install a second cradle in your 4WD and simply move the S5 between vehicles to use it as a precision inclinometer.

Motorhome levelling without the guesswork
Use the site itself first, then add only the correction that remains.
Why motorhomes are different
Motorhomes present a different levelling problem from caravans.
With a caravan, side-to-side correction is normally made at the wheels and front-to-back adjustment can then be made using the jockey wheel. A motorhome doesn't have that luxury - pitch and roll interact across all four wheels.
This is where the precision and stability of the S5 become particularly useful.
Find the best natural position
With the S5 operating in 10× mode, you can simply move your motorhome slowly around a reasonably level part of the site while watching roll and pitch in real time. Small changes in position that would be difficult to recognise by eye become immediately obvious, making it surprisingly easy to find the best natural position before using any levelling equipment.
And you don't necessarily need to find perfect level in both axes. Get one axis right simply by positioning the motorhome, and the remaining correction can often be made with ramps under just two wheels.
In many situations that means letting the S5 help you find the level rather than automatically reaching for ramps and blocks as soon as you arrive.
A more advanced method
The S5 has also been designed for an even more advanced motorhome levelling method. Its firmware can store vehicle dimensions such as wheelbase and track width, allowing precision pitch and roll information to be converted into the individual height corrections required at the wheels.
Support for entering and using this information through the S5 app is currently under development and will be introduced in a future app update.
Instead of being left to interpret angles or repeatedly try different combinations of ramps and blocks, the system will provide practical wheel-height corrections based on the geometry of the individual motorhome.
The useful question is not only how far out of level you are, but what to do next.

Designed for travelling and built to grow
The S5 works where you travel today and has been designed to become the measurement and control core of what comes next.
Designed for travelling
The S5 does not require an internet connection for normal operation.
Configuration and calibration information is stored locally within the S5 rather than depending on a particular phone or a remote cloud service. Levelling operation requires no internet connection, user account or mobile coverage.
Whether you're in a caravan park or well outside mobile coverage, the S5 continues doing its job.
High-power Bluetooth® 5.2 also provides extended practical range around caravans and motorhomes, allowing the S5 to be installed internally while you view levelling information from where you actually need it.
No internet. No user account. No mobile coverage required for levelling.
Start with the S5 then choose where you go next
You can use the S5 today as a completely standalone precision levelling instrument with your existing ramps, blocks or levelling equipment.
But it has also been designed as the precision measurement and control core of a modular system. As compatible SavvyLevel accessories and levelling solutions become available, the same S5 can form the foundation of increasingly assisted or automated levelling systems.
That means you can choose the solution that suits your vehicle, your budget and the way you travel, rather than buying an expensive and heavy complete auto-levelling system simply to obtain easier levelling.
